The new Corvette Z06 is officially GM’s most powerful product as it finally announces the vital stats: 641bhp and 650lb ft from the supercharged LT4 6.2 V8. This means that the new model is not only more powerful than the previous one (of course it is), but it beats also the crazy C6 ZR1 as well, putting it on a par with true exotics, at least when engine figures are concerned. GM says that 0-60mph takes under 3.5sec.

Hyundai UK has been busy taking photos and video of the new Veloster Coupe – due in showrooms in 2012 – and we have plenty of both. A couple of months on from the release of model and price details for the Hyundai Veloster in the UK, Hyundai UK has been making the most of their new coupe by taking a shed load of photos and videos of their new sporty coupe. Three years after it burst onto the supercar scene, Audi has unveiled a hard-core version of its R8 called the GT. Based on the existing mid-engine R8 V10 and incorporating aerodynamic, weight-saving and mechanical developments used by the company's R8 LMS GT3 race car, Ingolstadt will build just 333 copies of the new 560-hp four-wheel-drive performance flagship. Pricing has not yet been revealed, but given the extent of the changes to the new two-seater, buyers should expect a hefty premium over the R8 V10's $147,000 price tag when the GT goes on sale in North America.
